One of the most renowned public universities in Malaysia, UiTM Shah Alam is announced today as the strategic sports science partner for Red Giants this season.

This entity is no stranger to the Red Giants squad as they were already one of the strategic partners since 2018 where both parties exchange expertise, information, and facilities. 

This collaboration involved a few aspects in the field of sports science, nutrition, performance analysis and academic support for the officials and players for Selangor’s first team, Selangor 2 squad as well as Piala Presiden and Piala Belia teams. 

According to FAS Secretary-General, Dr. Johan Kamal Hamidon, the collaboration between these two entities is important in ensuring the latest health and fitness technology is being utilized by the Red Giants.

“FA Selangor is proud to create a partnership with one of the leading public universities in Malaysia. UiTM Shah Alam has been a great strategic partner and helps Red Giants a lot throughout last season. Their expertise in sports science is vital in ensuring the Selangor squad performance is at its peak,” Johan added.

“Along with the modernization of football, it brought along with it the ideas that will help players or any athletes to find that balance between fitness and improving performance in a quicker and more organized manner,” said Johan. 

Advancements in the field of sports science in football is one of the key elements that will improve the players’ performance, be it individually or collectively. Selangor is lucky enough to secure this partnership with UiTM Shah Alam.
